TMA Co., Ltd. was established in 1989 by founder Shingo Hayama as a service provider for the L'Oreal Group, a leader in the global cosmetics industry, in the Japanese duty-free market. We started by selling perfumes in a small showcase. Thanks to the partnership and support of our business partners and the L'Oreal Group over the past 30 years, we have been able to grow to over 100 counters for group brands in major international airports and downtown duty-free stores.

Since our founding, we have always made the provision of services and added value to our general travelers and business partners our number one priority. Furthermore, to put customers first, we believe that it starts with putting employees first. We believe that the happiness of our employees leads to the happiness of our customers. We gather diverse talents and, guided by the six principles of 'honesty and integrity,' 'always staying positive,' 'questioning conventional thinking and existing concepts to constantly search for the best solutions,' 'always enjoying the process,' 'maintaining a healthy competitive spirit,' and 'having a heart of empathy,' we trust and support each other. Together, we continue to improve ourselves daily to enrich the journeys of our customers and business partners. Now that more than 30 years have passed since our founding, consumer trends and the environment surrounding the industry are changing daily. As an expert in duty-free cosmetics, we are not only creating value in the duty-free market, but also considering new ways to contribute to the diversifying market, and have begun supporting domestic and international companies to enter the Japanese (travel) retail market. In our foreign-affiliated business support, we incorporate a global-to-local approach (Glocal), and in our advisory services, a local-to-global approach (Lobal), contributing to the travel retail industry and society while achieving growth as a company.
